1. Purpose
This Code of Conduct ensures Board members maintain the highest standards of professional behavior and manage conflicts of interest appropriately to preserve the integrity and reputation of Apart Research.
2. Commitment Against Sexual Misconduct
All Board members commit to:
- Refrain from any form of sexual misconduct as defined in Apart Research's Sexual Misconduct Policy
- Model professional behavior at all Apart Research events and interactions
- Support a workplace culture free from harassment and discrimination
3. Relationship Disclosure Requirements
3.1 Mandatory Disclosure - Internal
Board members must disclose to the full Board:
Relationships with Employees:
- Any romantic or sexual relationship with any Apart Research employee
- Disclosure required within 48 hours to Board Chair (or Vice-Chair if Chair is involved)
- Includes all staff, contractors, fellows, and regular volunteers
Relationships with Other Board Members:
- Any romantic or sexual relationship with another Board member
- Disclosure to remaining Board members within 48 hours
