1. Purpose and Scope

Apart Research is committed to maintaining a professional environment free from sexual misconduct. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, board members, volunteers, and affiliates in all work-related contexts, including but not limited to:

• Physical office spaces and coworking environments
• Virtual meetings and online interactions
• Research sprints, fellowships, and programs
• Conferences, events, and social gatherings
• Business travel and off-site meetings
• Work-related communications on any platform

2. Definition of Sexual Misconduct

Sexual misconduct includes, but is not limited to:

Sexual Harassment:

• Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal, physical, or visual conduct of a sexual nature
• Comments about appearance, body, or sexual activities
• Sexual jokes, stories, or conversations
• Display of sexually suggestive objects, pictures, or messages
